Follow John and Kurt Schwartz as they row across the Atlantic Ocean to benefit The Samfund, a unique charity that supports young adult cancer survivors. In December, the brothers will board their boat, the Bonny Rey, in the Canary Islands. Approximately two months later, they will arrive in the Caribbean — 3,000 miles from where they began. Every day in between will be spent on the open ocean.

How Far Would You Go . . . it’s a pretty simple question. How far would you go to fight for something you believe in? What are you willing to do to combat a significant problem, whether it’s cancer or climate change? We can all do more than we think.
We are dedicated to helping you spread the word about the work you are doing for the cause you believe, helping you go as far as you can go. Whether it’s a global campaign like the ones featured above or something smaller and local, we all are committed to doing what we can – even if it’s donating money instead of time. Donors can support the causes behind the campaigns of our community of Active-ists.
We have partnered with Flipgive, an innovative fundraising platform with a network of retailers that have pledged to give a percentage of your shopping dollars to our charities. Simply click on the “Support our Active-ists” button at the top of any page and you will see all our fundraising campaigns.  You can then shop hundreds of retailers with the click of a button or donate directly. The funds are sent directly to the specified charity.  Win-win!

Look at the stories of amazing people doing amazing things for a cause they believe in. Then look in the mirror and see someone just like them. Join our special community of Active-ists and become part of our collective effort to make the world a better place.

Someone who has been moved by a particular issue to the point that he or she can no longer sit idly by, someone who feels that action must be taken and then joins the fight.
